Over-moulding Over-moulding


Over-moulding is a process by which cast resin and a hardener are combined on a part to be protected. The use of over-moulding can confer new functionalities to the part.

Application areas

Over-moulding is used primarily in the military and nuclear fields, particularly to provide electrical protection for pneumatic or hydraulic solenoid valves and pressure sensors.

Examples on AMX30, AMX10 and SPRAT assault bridge trucks.
